The Regina M. Crooms Employer Excellence in Workforce Development Award Nomination Form
The primary mission of the Capital Area Workforce Development Board includes ensuring that the skills, knowledge and abilities of the local workforce meets the demands of business and industry. A highly-skilled and versatile workforce contributes to the Triangle’s ability to attract new business and creates a business environment conducive to expansion.
This award will give well-deserved recognition to local employers dedicated to improving their workforce for the benefit of their business and employees. Best practices should provide workers opportunities to acquire new skills and/or upgrade existing skills that are valuable regardless of where they choose to work. These skills may include non-technical skills which are also important for well-rounded, versatile talent.
Good Workforce Development programs will allow our region to remain a place where businesses thrive and careers flourish. We want to recognize the commitment of companies that share that vision
