How many business exhibit at the show?
2008 Business Expo will feature approximately 300 businesses. Exhibitors are Raleigh Chamber members.
How many people attend the show?
Attendance at the show usually averages around 5,000 business professional. Attendance is limited to adults (over 18 years of age). Attendance to the morning speaker averages 850 to 1,000.
Do I need a ticket to attend?
Yes, if you want to attend free. It's $15 without a ticket. Registration is required at the door. Online tickets available here.
How can I register to be an exhibitor?
You may sign up on-line, mail, fax or in person at the Raleigh Chamber. All exhibitors must be members of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. A registration form is on-line with an email address to inquire about aspects of the show. The sooner you sign up, the sooner your company will become part of this exciting new cyber showcase and can begin to take advantage of this global marketing benefit.
Am I able to attend the business expo to solicit my business without purchasing a booth?
Please be aware that there is absolutely no soliciting (job seeking, handing out promotional material, selling your business without being an exhibitor, etc.) while attending the 2008 Business Expo. To hinder soliciting, no briefcases or bags will be allowed. There will be a bag check at the main entrance which will be locked and safe to store your briefcase/bag while you are attending the Expo. If you are caught soliciting, you will be asked to leave.
If I am an exhibitor and solicitors approach my booth, how should I handle this situation?
If you have solicitors approach your booth that you know are not exhibiting in another booth, please contact the chamber staff. The chamber staff will then ask the solicitors to leave.
What is a Cyber Showcase?
Cyber Showcase is the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce's interactive business to business internet trade show. The virtual show was designed to complement the Raleigh Chamber's annual 2008 Business Expo scheduled for April 17, 2008. The trade show is a program established for Raleigh Chamber members to showcase their products and services to the region. Establishing a virtual component allows Chamber member exhibitors to showcase their businesses to a global marketplace through the use of the internet.
Who visits the virtual trade show?
Anyone can visit the Cyber Showcase, simply by following the prompts along the way. There are no fees to navigate the virtual floor. Many business people visit the Cyber Showcase to preview the exhibitors and identify the vendors they particularly want to see, thereby saving valuable time the day the of show. We encourage visitors to the Cyber Showcase to contact exhibitors prior to the show to set up appointments.
